THE BROWN LIQUOR REPORT was birthed at the intersection of friends reuniting over heated and humorous discussion about politics and pop culture, chicken and liquor. It is a unique voice for Generation X-ers who find themselves straddling ratchet & responsibility. It is the podcast for those who want to learn more about social justice, pop culture, and politics while enjoying the best 90’s hip hop beats and a pour of their favorite vice, free of judgment.

DJ BLACK SHAH

Founder, Co-Host, Sound Engineer

DJ Black Shah is the BLR’s resident light bright. When he isn’t traversing these podcast streets with his woes, he is usually saving the world through meticulously crafted soundtracks. He enjoys a good snifter of cognac or whisk(e)y at any time of day, blazers with patches sewn on the elbows, beet smoothies, and Billy Joel.

JAS HANDS

Producer, Co-Host

Resident raspy, turn-up coordinator, and passionate twerk advocate. When not producing BLR awesomeness, drinking whiskey or politicking, she's using her graduate degrees in Public Health and Social Work to change communities for the better.

THE COUNT

Host, Human Google

King of random information and human Wikipedia, The Count is a news and music junkie that, for some reason, prefers NPR to top 40.  When not off correcting facts and drinking all your fine brown liquors, he can be found training his offspring in the art of nonchalant woke-ness and competitive sarcasm.
